Our Border Collie Conditioner is developed to be lightweight and hydrating for medium length straight fur. It will hydrate and protect your Border Collies skin and coat.
Our Border Collie Shampoo & Conditioner are infused with Organic Ginger, Hemp, Jojoba, Lavender & Macadamia Oils. All of these oils are specifically chosen to benefit your Border Collie.
How often should I brush my Border Collie?
Since Border Collies only shed their fur seasonally, they are generally low maintenance in regards to grooming. That said, their fur can easily form matting or build tangles due to the amount of exercise they need.
In order to avoid any matting or tangles in the thick double coat, brush your Border Collies fur daily. This will leave your Border Collie with a healthy skin and coat, feeling soft and smooth.
What brush is best for Border Collie?
Slicker brushes are best for your Border Collie due to the medium length double coat.
How often should I wash my Border Collie?
Border Collies love to run! As they were originally bred as sheep herding dogs, they love a lot of exercise. Our hypoallergenic Border Collie range is formulated to be ultra gentle in case you need to use more often than expected. The oils will also assist in replenishing any lost during the cleansing routine.
Due to the amount of exercise and thick double coat, Border Collies should be bathed every 4-8 weeks.
How do I trim my Border Collies nails?
Our best tip would be to wait until your Border Collie is really tired! Hopefully that way they will put up less of a struggle.
Hold a paw firmly in your hand to ensure that your Border Collie doesn't have any unexpected pulling or movement.
Look very carefully at the nail for a pinkish inside - this is called the quick. Whether the nail is black or white you should be able to find the quick. If in doubt, ask your vet for help. This is where the blood vessels and nerves are so you need to avoid exposing this area.
Cut or file the nail leaving a few millimetres away from the quick.
